Our route this year takes us 22mi throughout the the day to some classic sights that we haven't seen in a while. We'll visit some old friends, say goodbye to a legendary taproom and test the waters with a sassy ex.
First up, a ride from Casa de E+E through the newly paved and reconstructed sections of the Kennilworth and Cedar Lake trails to La Doña with its recently rebuilt patio and tienda. Then we will peep Pryes and see if its annual block party isn't too crazy to attend. We'll then cross the river and enjoy the fresh new Plymouth Ave tunnel and Graco Park as we proceed to a staple of the BBBT since its inception, Indeed!
From Indeed we'll hop across Cedar Ave. to pay homage to Bauhaus, which closes its doors forever on June 30 (RIP to a real one). After saying goodbye to one of the best to ever do it we will decide the status of recently-semi-canceled Dangerous Man - can they win back our good will?
NOTE: Next, if the group is feeling particularly ambitious we can make our way out to Bang Brewing -Elliot's top brewery of all time. This would bring total distance up to 27ish miles.
From Dangerous Man we next have a dark horse that I've always perceived as being mid but I haven't given a fair shake in many years - we'll be at Dayblock Brewing. Finally, we'll proceed down the Hiawatha LRT trail to an old stalwart and neighborhood favorite, Arbeiter! The midtown greenway will give us a direct shot back to the homestead.
